The City of Worcester is seeking qualified applicants for the position
of Principal Human Resources Generalist for the Hiring Division within
the Human Resources Department. The Principal Human Resources (HR)
Generalist is responsible for managing a wide range of administrative
and operational duties related to the overall function of the Human
Resources Department with a primary focus on tasks within the Hiring
Division. The Principal HR Generalist will lead complex recruitment and
talent-development initiatives while coordinating cross-departmental
projects that advance citywide workforce goals. This position will
oversee programs such as Boards & Commissions, internships, senior tax
abatement program and more. Bilingual and multilingual applicants are

Bachelor\'s degree in public administration, business administration,
human resources or a related field, OR; any equivalent combination of
education, training and five (5) years of relevant experience which
provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the
essential functions of the position may be considered in lieu of above
requirement \~ Three (3) years of experience working in a Human
Resources environment \~ Two (2) years of experience overseeing programs
or projects \~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills \~
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: \~
Master\'s Degree in public administration, business administration,
human resources or a related field \~ Five (5) years of experience with
program or project coordination \~ Five (5) years of experience working
