The Department
This position is located in the Department of General Services. The Department provides quality services that support City departments in a manner which enable them to carry-out their community missions and provides these services in a cost-effective and efficient manner, which best serves the operational needs of City departments and the community.
Responsibilities of the General Services Department include: Airport Administration, Building Maintenance, Central Services, Cultural Arts Center Administration, Custodial, Fleet Services, Graffiti Abatement Program, HVAC / Electrical, and Warehouse.
The Position
The Central Services Coordinator under general supervision, coordinates various services for City departments including document printing, graphic design, large format printing, finishing, installation, reproduction, bindery, delivery of mail and supplies, and issuance and care of Central Services vehicles, and does related work as required.

Education and Experience
Three years of progressively responsible experience operating and maintaining printing, bindery, and mail equipment. No specific education minimum.
License and/or Certificates
A Class C California Driver's License.
Ideal Candidate
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- Experience in a coordinator or lead capacity
- Experience with mail delivery services
- Proven conflict resolution skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- A deadline driven work style Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
- U.S. Postal Service knowledge
- Experience with maintaining materials and supplies inventory
Only those candidates who best meet the City and Department's needs will be invited to participate in the examination process, which will consist of the following components:
Panel Interview: Weighted 100% (Tentatively scheduled on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.)
