What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity/Sports Instructor- Soccer position at City of St. Louis Park?
Supervise, coach, and instruct summer kicks league soccer program at Fern Hill Park.
This position will work on Tuesday evenings from May – July between the hours of 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. as directed by the Recreation Supervisor.
- Create a positive, educational, active and fun environment for participants.- Act as safety officer and implement any first aid needed.
- Uphold the integrity of the recreational sport/activity and deal directly with any unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Required to help set-up and breakdown facility for specific activity/athletic instruction.
- Work cooperatively with Park and Recreation Department, other facility users, team managers, and players implementing other recreational programs.
- Act in a polite and courteous manner and represent the Recreation Department and the City of St. Louis Park in the most professional way.- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Must be very familiar with sport or activity and have knowledge of all official rules and skills.
- Experience working with groups and teaching skills.
- DC Heads Up Concussion Training or ability to acquire this upon being hired- Demonstrated cultural competence and comfort with supporting the city’s strategic objectives for advancing racial equity.
Salary : $15 - $17
