Experience, Education, and Training
- Requires Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university;
- At least two years of cumulative service at the rank of Battalion Fire Chief.
Licensing/Certification
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license;
- Must possess and maintain IFSAC certification through the Missouri Division of Fire Safety as Incident Safety Officer, Fire Officer II, and Instructor I;
- Must have completed ICS 400;
- Must be professionally credentialed as Chief Fire Officer through Center for Public Safety Excellence;
- Must maintain professional designation throughout the duration of appointment;
- May be required to complete additional training or certification depending on assignment
