ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mowing, trimming, trash removal and brush removal on Code lots, City lots and city Cemeteries.
- Operating digit camera to take pictures after cutting the property
- Complete daily paperwork
- Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as apparent or assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY
- Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for extended periods of time, and to perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and public.
- Must have knowledge of the park department maintenance and safety procedures.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required.

- Operate 4 X 4 trucks with plow, all riding mowers, lawn boys, weed eaters, tractors, flatbed trucks, dump trucks.
- Assist in all park department projects using light and related equipment.
- Duties include mowing, hauling, snow plowing, and park related maintenance of all facilities.
- Open and close facilities as needed.
- Ability to work with other departments on various projects
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to work independently and make necessary work-related decisions
- Maintain records of daily work.
- Transport various heavy equipment to job sites using different combination vehicles.
- Operates backhoe, bobcat, dozer, loader, flail mower as needed.
KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY
- Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1 years’ experience in operating light and heavy equipment.
- Any equivalent combination of relative education and experience.

Must have Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) Endorsement
