What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wet Zone- Lead Guest and Food Services position at City of Rowlett?
Under limited supervision, operates ticket sales, gift shop, and concession stand areas. Assists with guest needs, including stocking, cleaning, and operating the cash register. Individually manages, guides, and supports team members through workflows and complex customer requests using comprehensive product, process, and sales knowledge. Performs other duties as assigned.
Operates ticket sales and gift shop areas at the Water Park. Collects money from guests and provides correct change. Schedules parties and enrolls participants in classes. Reconciles and submits daily sales, revenue, and paperwork from assigned register and shift. Assists with opening and closing procedures. Maintains a clean and safe environment at all times.
Follows instructions to properly heat and hold all food items prepared in the concession stand. Maintains appropriate stock levels and monitors shelf life for all items throughout the day. Adheres to all health, safety, and fire codes while preparing and storing food items. Assists in planning for special events and catered parties to ensure readiness and high-quality food service.
Operates the register in the concession stand or kiosk as needed. Collects money and provides change. Reconciles and submits daily sales, revenue, and paperwork. Assists with customer service, food preparation, cooking, stocking, and cleaning. Maintains food and paper supplies at appropriate levels.
Assists with opening and closing procedures as needed. Helps maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the concession stand, kiosk, and surrounding areas. Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Performs other duties as assigned. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential function of this position, as is the ability to maintain professional and harmonious working relationships with others.
Some experience in food handling and cashiering is preferred. A Food Handler’s Permit is required prior to the operating season.
Must be able to work a varying seasonal schedule, including weekends and holidays, as designated by the Water Park Safety Supervisor. A Food Manager’s Permit is required prior to the operating season. Cashiering experience is preferred.
Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, high humidity, and wind. Exposure to chlorine, noise, and constant activity is expected. Work involves operating or working near restaurant equipment that may be hazardous if not handled properly, including equipment with extreme hot and cold temperature.
