The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities is seeking a qualified Management Analyst, Associate provide professional support of programs, projects, or work unit requiring a substantive knowledge of applicable policies, practices, and procedures to select and apply the most appropriate approach. This position may also serve as a lead worker, assigning work and monitoring work completion.
Answering and directing citizen and customer inquiries
Providing administrative support to the administration team through regular verbal and written communication
Assisting the administrative team with daily office operations
Gathering, compiling, and analyzing data, and developing recommendations and reports
Composing and preparing a variety of documents
Assisting with updates to office manuals, policies, and procedures
Preparing, entering, and processing requisitions and paying invoices
Entering data into spreadsheets, maintaining accurate information, and updating and reviewing
documents for electronic upload to the shared driveServing as a lead worker by delegating tasks and monitoring their completion
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment
- Two years of paraprofessional experience in area related to assignment, such as assisting with program or project administration and management analysis
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
- Five years of experience in an administrative professional role
- Experience working with senior leadership team members
LICENSING, CERTIFICATIONS, and OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Some assignments may require a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, and a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
