The Health and Wellness Programming team is searching for an individual who enjoys developing creative initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles. Recent experience or a passion for developing and planning wellness, fitness, physical activity, or recreational activities for all ages is highly desired.
The Health and Wellness Activity Specialist is a temporary staff position that’s scheduled to work between 10 and 15 hours per week. The selected candidate will take on an important role in assisting the Health and Wellness team with the planning, coordination, and support of wellness and recreation outreach programming.
- Assist in the planning, development, coordination, and support of outreach and wellness and recreational activities that may include communication, marketing, events, training, and seminars.
- Assist with the preparation and procurement of outreach programming materials and supplies.
- Assist with the evaluation, tracking, and reporting strategy for health and wellness programs, activities, and special events.
- Provide planning support and assistance to the PRCR staff.
- Communicate effectively with wellness team members, supervisors, and other Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources staff members.
- Demonstrate and uphold all City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources values and principles.
