Job Details
The Public Works Department is seeking an energetic and experienced leader to lead our Water & Wastewater team. We are looking for someone who embodies our core values of respect, teamwork, trust, safety, and communication. Serving over 295,000 residents and local businesses, we provide vital water and sewer services to the community. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of field operations in water distribution and wastewater collection, ideally within a city of similar size, along with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
The position will report to the Assistant Director of Public Works (Field Operations) and will work closely with the Streets/Traffic Manager and CIP Manager. The Water/Wastewater Manager directly oversees a team of 100 people in our Utility Compliance, Utility Operations, and Pumping Facilities operations. This person leads these teams to operate and maintain over 1,500 miles of water mains, 1,000 miles of sewer mains, and ensuring reliable water and sewer services for the community.
