Both the Parks and Recreation Department and the Aviation Department are seeking to fill a Senior Human Resources Analyst/Generalist role.
Parks and Recreation is a 24/7 operations department consisting of approximately 1,100 full-time equivalent positions (1,500 employees) with at least 800 of those employees being in a part-time or seasonal work status.
The Aviation Department operates the Phoenix Airport System which consists of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, and Phoenix Goodyear Airport.
The Senior HR Generalist position will preform advanced professional human resources work in variety of functions, which includes labor relations, administrative investigations, discipline, recruiting and selection, classification and compensation, employee training and development, personnel and payroll transactions, administrative hearings, and FMLA/ADA administration.
Responsibilities for these positions may include and are not limited to the following:
Pay Range: $66,185.60 to $97,780.80 annually.
Hiring Range: $66,185.60 to $88,691.20 annually.

Responsibilities for these positions may include and are not limited to the following:
- Developing creative solutions to resolve issues at the employee, supervisory, and management levels.
- Advising supervisors and management in employee relations matters, including leave, performance management, and corrective actions.
- Conducting administrative investigations.
- Preparing investigatory reports, disciplinary documents, and making recommendations for appropriate actions.
- Representing the Department in Civil Service Board hearings.
- Facilitating matters related to the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Family Medical Leave Act.
- Interpreting and advising on city policies and procedures, as well as state and federal employment laws.
- Developing and delivering trainings on various HR topics.
Pay Range: $66,185.60 to $97,780.80 annually.
Hiring Range: $66,185.60 to $88,691.20 annually.

Minimum Qualifications
- Two years of professional human resources management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, public or business administration, or a related field.
- Other combinations of education and experience that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
