The Strategic Information Bureau Body Worn Camera Unit is looking to fill the Administrative Aide position. The Administrative Aide will act as a liaison and provide training to department personnel for the body worn cameras. The Administrative Aide position is responsible for maintaining the body worn camera database and storage of video files, processing of all video requests received from City and County prosecutors, criminal justice entities, and public records.
Responsibilities Include And Are Not Limited To
Pay Range: $20.51 to $35.08 per hour.
Hiring Range: $20.51 to $30.31 per hour.

The Administrative Aide position is responsible for maintaining the body worn camera database and storage of video files, processing of all video requests received from City and County prosecutors, criminal justice entities, and public records.
Responsibilities Include And Are Not Limited To
- Maintaining the on-body camera database and storage of video files.
- Processing public records video requests and all City and County Prosecutor's video requests.
- Processing requests for law enforcement, criminal justice entities, and public records requests by redacting video.
- Maintaining daily tracking logs and compiling monthly and quarterly reports of all video requests.
- Ensuring that all on-body camera users accurately upload/store videos in the Department's database and will compile and submit reports of inaccurate and/or incomplete information.
- Acting as a liaison with precinct personnel to ensure assigned camera equipment and assignment needs are being met.
- Interpretation and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Outlook, Excel spread sheet and Word document, and PowerPoint knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to maintain favorable working relationships with internal departments and/or external agencies.
Pay Range: $20.51 to $35.08 per hour.
Hiring Range: $20.51 to $30.31 per hour.

- Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.
- Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease.
- Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.
- When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may also be a change to your classification or unit.

Minimum Qualifications
- Four years of experience performing clerical duties.
- OR Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or a related field.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.
- Positions in the Police Department must meet the background standards that are appropriate to non-sworn positions. The general factors for disqualification are listed here.
- Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage.
