The Aviation Department operates the Phoenix Airport System which consists of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Phoenix Deer Valley Airport, and Phoenix Goodyear Airport. This department is seeking to fill an HR Analyst position.
The Human Resources Analyst performs entry-level professional human resources work. This position performs a variety of functions, which may include supervising payroll, leave, and Human Resource transactions; employment recruiting and selection; discipline; training; and FMLA/ADA administration.
SALARY
Pay Range: $29.44 to $41.42 per hour.
Hiring Range: $29.44 to $39.42 per hour.

Pay Range Explanation
- Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification.

- Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase.
- Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease.
- Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, public or business administration, or a related field.
- Human resources experience at the paraprofessional level or higher.
- Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
- All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position.

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus demonstrated experience in:
- Preparing and presenting training to all levels of staff.
- Processing human resources transactions, conducting background checks, and performing related administrative tasks.
- Managing HR administrative functions, including working with human resources management systems such as PeopleSoft or other similar software.
- Providing HR customer service, including handling escalated issues and working with difficult customers.
- Interpreting and explaining human resources policies and procedures.
- Proofing and auditing documents for accuracy.
- Processing payroll and leave transactions with a high level of proficiency.
