What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parks - Seasonal Worker position at City of Osage Beach?
Perform a range of manual tasks including semi-skilled and skilled work, equipment operations, and routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
The following examples are meant to be illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive:
- Responsible for:
- Trash pickup and weed cleanup
- Mowing and trimming
- Painting and patching
- Sweeping, digging, raking and planting
- Preparing athletic fields for use as directed
- Working in concession stands
- Operate trucks, power tools and related small equipment as required and under supervision.
- Responsible for loading and unloading materials from small dump truck.
- Follow departmental rules, policies and procedures, and assists fellow employees in same.
- Follow rules and policies to be in compliance with safe working practices.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Designee.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Possess a valid Missouri Drivers License.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
OR
- Combination of education, training, or experience which would qualify for the position as determined by the City Administrator, Assistant City Administrator, and Parks and Recreation Manager.
Ability to:
- Operate City vehicles in accordance with state laws and City Policies.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, other agencies and general public.
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions with limited supervision.
Skills:
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Good face-to-face, verbal, and written communication skills.
