Budget Analyst

The purpose of this position is to perform professional level support and services to the Budget department. This is accomplished by preparing and presenting the City’s operating budget, monitoring revenues and expenditures for assigned departments, and researching and analyzing data on a monthly and quarterly basis. Other responsibilities include preparing periodic and ad hoc reports. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Leave

The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.

What We're Looking For

• Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field with related work experience, preferably within a local government finance environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in one of these fields may be substituted for the above requirement if the candidate has a minimum of two years of related work experience, preferably within a local government finance environment.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver License.
