DCAS HC Seeks To Engage One (1) Special Examiner (DCAS) Who Will Serve As a Strategic Initiatives And Engagement Analyst (SIEA) In The QAPM Unit. The SIEA Will Perform Work Related, But Not Limited, To The Following
- Support administrative tasks, including copying, scanning, and drafting documents such as reports, templates, presentations, and emails.
- Lead the preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, emphasizing action items and stakeholder responsibilities.
- Clearly communicate departmental and business expectations to stakeholders, managing deadlines and deliverables.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement for working groups, planning meetings, and steering committees.
- Facilitate and support engagement activities led by QAPM.
- Align process improvement efforts with communication strategies within change management initiatives.
- Monitor compliance and ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables are met, recommending refinements to existing efforts.
- Conduct planning and testing to identify operational inefficiencies and gaps.
- Provide proofreading, editing, and coordination for internal and external communications.
- Offer backup or supplemental support during Analyst absences or large-scale projects.
- Encourage and promote automation opportunities where feasible.
- Answer incoming calls for the QAPM and Executive Office.
- Perform special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Education and/or experience appropriate to qualify for the specific assignment.
- Enrollment in or completion of a business communications degree track in an Associates or Bachelor program, or equivalent. - Experience working with the City of New York. - Experience working with policies and work promulgated by DCAS Human Capital. - Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook. - Effective communication skills (listening, written, visual, and verbal), including the ability to understand and be understood in English. - Able to analyze and manage data using applications like Excel. - Quick learner on using new systems, applications, and tools. - Familiarity with project management principles, techniques, and methods. - Familiarity with quality assurances activities. - Experience working independently and collaboratively to ensure priorities meet deadlines. - Strong desire to work with diverse groups of people and strong interpersonal skills. - Able to handle sensitive situations and maintain a high degree of confidentiality. - Able to adhere to deadlines. - Strong time management skills. - Able to conceptualize new or complex work, operations, and theories. - Strong attention to detail.
