Job Function:
To assist in establishing a pressure washing and cleaning program for City properties, i.e. buildings, parks, pavilions, parking lots, sidewalks, and the downtown. This is skilled manual work accomplished outdoors on a reoccurring basis.

- Surface Cleaning: Pressure washing a variety of surfaces including buildings, sidewalks, driveways, patios, decks, and other outdoor areas.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operating pressure washing equipment, including pumps, hoses, nozzles, scrubbers, and other tools.
- Chemical Application: Using appropriate cleaning solutions and detergents when necessary, ensuring they are used safely and effectively.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and servicing pressure washing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Customer Interaction: Communicating with customers to understand their needs, explain the cleaning process, and ensure satisfaction with the completed work.
- Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Job Site Management: Setting up the work area, ensuring proper water and chemical supply, and cleaning up debris after the job is complete.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Follow Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Inspect city grounds and facilities as well as related facilities and equipment for needed cleaning using established guidelines and standards. Respond to issues within a 24 hours basis.
- Inspect work sites before, during and after completion to assure work is completed in a highly satisfactory and thorough manner. Ensure all equipment and vehicles are properly taken care of.
- Work as a valuable and dependable team player to assist and improve programs, facilities and working conditions in the City.
- Can work independently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Ability to make estimates of time for tasks.
- Skill in the care and use of tools, chemicals, materials, and equipment common to the trade.
- Types and levels of operations and cleaning activities generally performed in municipal park grounds and facilities operation.
- Material Safety and Handling Standards management skill.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to clearly answer question by the public.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or equivalent and one (1) year combination of job experience.
- Most possess a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- A comparable amount of education and/or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
- Complete the required National Incident Management System (NIMS) training within six (6) months of completion of probationary period.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to talk by means of spoken words.
- Acceptable eyesight (with or without corrections).
- Acceptable hearing (with or with hearing aid).
- Walking or standing for periods of time.
- Occasionally lift over 40 pounds.
- Occasionally work around noxious fumes, chemicals. insects, and excessive noise.
- The wearing of a back-support brace is mandatory with heavy lifting.
Environmental Conditions:
- Works primarily in the outdoor environment and is subject to sun, heat, humidity, rain, cold, and inclement weather.
- Works during daytime and nighttime hours.
