To lead participants in a variety of recreational activities; to supervise the use of equipment and supplies; to enforce the rules and regulations of the Recreation Center; and to assist in organizing and implementing activities for the Adults 50 .

SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by a Senior Program Supervisor.

1. All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in
Chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual. Adheres to
assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and
procedures.
2. Assist in the provision of nutrition and transportation services to senior citizens.
3. May assist in preparing various reports on senior center operations and activities.
4. Conduct daily recreational activities such as games, exercise, arts and crafts
classes and other special events for program participants.
5. Maintain inventory control on equipment and supplies; maintain an accurate
and current listing of users.
6. Observe safety precautions; correct minor safety problems; conduct activities in a
safe manner.
7. Issue participation cards and collect fees for class registration.
8. Assist patrons with questions; answer phones and help walk in customers.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan and participate in special events or projects.
2. Attend workshops, seminars and classes as required.
3. Depending on assignment, may drive City vehicles to transport senior adults.
4. Perform other duties as assigned.
5. Perform data entry into various software programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED. No experience required; however, experience with senior citizens in leading educational or recreation programs is preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Obtain First Aid and CPR certifications within 90 days of employment.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Depending on assignment, may be required to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment as a condition of continued employment. Failure to obtain a CDL within 90 days of employment will result in non-disciplinary termination.
Flexible work schedule - 15-20 hours per week.
May occasionally work evenings or weekends
Senior center hours: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:00PM
