What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Repair Worker II position at City of Lincoln/Lancaster County?
This is skilled technical work at the Journeyman level in the maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of County owned buildings. Performs general ground maintenance; operates, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems; performs general carpentry work; maintains, repairs, and installs plumbing fixtures and equipment; and performs painting of interior and exterior of buildings.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or equivalent with vocational/technical school level coursework or training in heating, air conditioning and ventilation repair or a related discipline including carpentry, plumbing, masonry or electrical repair plus two years of experience at the apprentice level in the same maintenance area; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills.
Necessary Special Requirements: Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by the County’s insurance carrier.
Hours: Full time; M - F; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. subject to change during emergencies.
Salary : $25 - $32
