What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Clerk II - Front Counter position at City of Lincoln/Lancaster County?
Are you detail-oriented and passionate about numbers? We’re looking for someone to join our team in a key role that involves complex, specialized clerical work. You’ll apply advanced accounting principles to help maintain accurate financial accounts and records, playing an important part in supporting the Clerk of the District Court.
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (40 hours per week)

What You’ll Do:
- Process payments, receipts, checks, garnishments, payment vouchers, and cash receipts
- Reconcile daily report balances with bank statements
- Enter judgments and tax costs, and apply credits as outlined in court orders
What We’re Looking For:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with additional coursework in accounting or finance
- At least 6 months of experience in office and clerical work, especially with financial transactions
- Or an equivalent combination of training and experience
