Salary: $59,845.50 – $88,315.50 annual
The City of Lewiston is seeking a motivated and organized professional to administer its HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Grant Program. This position oversees grant-funded residential rehabilitation projects from start to finish, including grant administration, contractor coordination, budgeting, regulatory compliance, federal reporting, and collaboration with homeowners, contractors, and community partners.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by improving the health and safety of Lewiston residents through the reduction of lead hazards in local housing. The City provides the required HUD and Maine Lead certifications, along with opportunities for professional development.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred) in Public Administration, Community Development, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Applied Sciences, Natural Resource Management, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with grant administration, community development, public policy, residential rehabilitation, or federally funded programs is highly desirable. A valid State of Maine driver's license is required.
This is a full-time, exempt, non-union, grant-funded temporary position funded through the City's 2025–2028 HUD Lead Hazard Reduction Grant. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.
