Description
Position Summary:
Attends assigned board, committee, and commission meetings ; records minutes through detailed note-taking and audio recordings to support the preparation of official minutes. Prepares and distributes both drafts and final versions of meeting minutes for assigned boards, committees and commissions.
Prepares and composes meeting minutes in a timely manner, ensuring all applicable deadlines are consistently met.
Supervision Received
Works under the general administrative direction of the Lead Recording Secretary, City Clerk and Tax Collector, with direction at times being given by the City Manager, Director of Planning and Development, or the Chairs of the boards and commission.

Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training, and Experience:

High School Diploma plus progressively responsible secretarial experience which includes skilled typing and stenographic duties.
Other combinations of education and experience that qualify an individual to perform the requisite job duties and responsibilities may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) for Position:
Knowledge of office practices and procedures; knowledge of business English, spelling and vocabulary; skilled with use of computers and modern office equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, including experience with document creating, formatting, and editing. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, including email communication and calendar scheduling.
