What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor position at City of Kirkwood?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our Camp Counselors are responsible for leading a group of campers through various activities and programs including games, sports, crafts, field trips, and swimming. They supervise and engage campers at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being. They maintain awareness of camper needs, including emotional, physical, and social well-being. They create a safe, fun, and inclusive environment where campers can learn, grow, and have an unforgettable camp experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
Age 16 or older
Experience working with school age children preferred
CPR certification is required (will be offered at no cost if hired)
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Camp takes place primarily outdoors in Kirkwood Park, with occasional indoor activities.
Employment dates: June through early August (Monday through Friday) SALARY $15.00
