JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Kenosha County Treasurer\'s Office is looking for
a detail-oriented, customer-focused Deputy Treasurer. The Deputy
Treasurer works under the direction of the County Treasurer and assists
in the performance of the duties of the County Treasurer\'s Office in
accordance with Section 59.25 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The
responsibilities for this position consist of receipting property tax
payments, dog park fees, and attorney badge fees from the public as well
as receipting a variety of payments from various County departments. In
addition, this position is responsible for answering phone calls from
banks and residents and making payment plans with delinquent taxpayers
as well as helping to facilitate the tax deed process. This position has
the primary responsibility for processing mail, receipting tax payments,
managing the lottery credit application process, completing reports for
the State of Wisconsin, and assisting with communications with the
public. Duties include: Establish payment plans with taxpayers Answer
phone calls and receipt tax payments Work with taxpayers on various
issues Assist with the Tax Deed/In Rem process Monthly run reports,
balance and pay out fees to the State of Wisconsin Make payments to
suppliers and municipalities as well as payments to title search
companies and process server companies for services used Balance ROD
payments daily Send out notices to those who are delinquent on prior
year taxes to aid in tax collection Help to manage reserved parking
space fees, passes, and issues Be primary point of contact for the
application of lottery credits for the public, municipalities, and the
state Help to handle NSF checks for tax payments Reconcile imprest cash
and cash drawers Enter special assessments onto the tax bills and
confirm accuracy with municipalities Process mail and keep accurate
records of returned and refunded payments Perform other work as required
