MAJOR POSITION DUTIES
- Responsible for the coordination, promotion, and organization of the City's LIVE! from Hydro Park concert series.
- Collect fees, establish operating rules and regulations for vendors, and ensure compliance with all applicable state and local regulations.
- Seek out and gauge community support for events in Hydro Park and other public spaces within the City. Events may include yoga, charity runs/walks, concerts, food rallies and culture shows, welcome events, pop-up shows, and/or children's events.
- Partner with the Recreation Department, 1000 Islands Environmental Center, Grignon Mansion, Kaukauna Public Library and other departments and community groups to offer a variety of programs and events.
- Collaborate with the Community Enrichment Program Manager on budget and strategic planning.
- Coordinate and evaluate the current Special Event Application process. Be the point of contact for all Community and City Special Events and applications received.
- Provides front desk support, including answering calls, managing facility reservations, processing payments and refunds, and handling cash.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the hospitality industry with working knowledge of State requirements on weights and measures, food, beverage, and vending permitting.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work Wednesdays at LIVE from Hydro Park concert series, 2:00p-9:00p in June, July, and part of August.
- This position is flexible and part-time up to 1,100 hours per calendar year with the busiest time May through September.
- The goal of the position is to maximize the investment in the park system, engage the public with the downtown and lend support/coordination with the Chamber of Commerce, business community, civic organizations, etc.
- Associate's degree in Community Development or related field.
