PROGRAM DATES/TIMES
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
4:30-7:30 p.m.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct gymnastics/tumbling instruction to students of various skill levels with provided guide/lesson plans.
- Instruct students on proper techniques, form, and safety guidelines
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
- Implement behavior management strategies to ensure a productive class environment.
- Provide verbal and visual instruction on proper body mechanics.
- Modify specific techniques to accommodate various skill levels.
- Ensure maximum participation by providing encouragement, movement throughout the class, and individual guidance as needed.
- Prepare studio or classroom and ensure cleanliness of all facilities and equipment.
- Communicate with participants and parents, depending on program and level, and maintain good relationships with staff and public.
- Maintain appropriate safety measures for program participants.
- Report any issues with equipment or facility immediately to management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 years experience in leading tumbling or gymnastics classes.
- Previous experience in teaching tumbling/gymnastics techniques, is preferred but not required.
- Experience in program design is preferred.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to run, stoop, kneel, climb, bend, lift, push and pull up to 20 pounds, using proper body mechanics and techniques.
- Ability to sustain prolonged visual concentration.
- Ability to stand/sit for prolonged periods of time.
PAY RATE
$20.00 per hour
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is done in a recreational environment that is typically indoors. Noise level may vary, depending on the type of class provided.
