About our Department:and#10;The General Services Department consists of several divisions in different locations throughout the City. The Facilities Projects Division manages new construction, additions, and alterations of City-owned buildings and parks. The Maintenance Division oversees the maintenance and janitorial services of City-owned structures and properties.and#10;and#10;Building Custodian Position Overview: and#10;This is manual work cleaning, securing, and performing minor maintenance of public buildings and facilities. Work involves responsibility for routine cleaning and maintenance; opening and closing facilities; and responsibility for maintaining the security of public facilities particularly during public functions.and#10;and#10;Qualifications and Necessary Special Requirements:and#10;A high school diploma or GED is desired; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
