POSITION OVERVIEW

WORKDAYS & HOURS: Mon - Fri, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm *

• Coordinate and monitor recreation activities at Golf Facility.
• Inspect the facility each day to determine unsafe conditions and submits work orders as needed.
• Assist and monitor Golf Course Facility activities and special events; enforce facility rules and regulations with participants and general public.
• Operate cash registers, issuing receipts and collecting payment for fees, merchandise and services.
• Answer telephones, book reservations and provide information to customers and the general public.
• Introduce players and ensure an orderly flow of play in accordance with reserved times and/or on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Prepare and stage golf cars for rental and/or recharging.
• Effectively prepare the pro shop and be mindful to open/close on time.
• Must complete all tasks in accordance with all policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work early mornings, late afternoons, weekends and holidays as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma or a GED.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) months of related experience are required.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
May require a valid driver's license and compliance with the City of Houston's policy on driving (AP 2-2).

PREFERENCES

**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**

• Preference shall be given to applicants who have knowledge in assisting at golf course facilities.

Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification. The salary range is:
