- Associate Degree 2.5%
- Bachelor Degree 5%
- Second language 1.25%
- DPSST Intermediate Certificate 2.5%
- DPSST Advanced Certificate 4.0%
Lateral Officer Incentives:
- Signing Bonus Upon Eligibility: $1,000 at the time of hire for a Lateral Officer with meeting the qualified years of experience as a sworn, full-time officer.
- Step at hire and accrual lump sums: Based on years worked as a sworn, full-time officer. Please inquire with Human Resources for more information.

- Graduation from High School or GED and 1 year of work experience are required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job as those listed. The Police Officer job description viewed here.
