What You'll Do
You'll support Parks & Recreation facilities by handling a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and support tasks that keep City spaces operating smoothly for staff and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial and facility cleaning using daily, weekly, and monthly checklists
- Maintain cleanliness of buildings, restrooms, grounds, and surrounding areas
- Assist maintenance, cleaning, and trade crews with assigned tasks
- Safely operate equipment and vehicles; report vandalism or repair needs
- Complete basic reports and follow City safety rules and work procedures
What You Bring – Education & Experience
- At least 18 years old with three years of high school completed
- Any combination of related work or hands-on experience is helpful
Preferred Certifications
- Valid Indiana Driver's License (as required for assigned duties)
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Comfort working with cleaning products and maintenance equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work with moderate supervision
