GENERAL PURPOSE: Under supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled assignments in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of City street and stormwater infrastructure.

- Maintains and repairs all aspects of street, drainage and alley maintenance, street signs, street striping, other roadway markings, and construction; performs line locates; responds to trouble calls on roads and equipment; patrols streets to identify and provide maintenance for traffic signals, signs, guardrails, barricades, and markings that need adjustment or repair.
- Operates equipment, tools, and motor vehicles such as trucks, specialty vehicles, and other similar maintenance or construction equipment to conform with applicable regulatory standards and City standards.
- Safely operates equipment and tools used at work site; places traffic control flags, signs, and cones to direct traffic around work sites, and operates and maintains hand and power tools.
- On-call for emergency situations
- Responds tactfully to questions and comments from the public and delegates to appropriate staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in general construction, road maintenance, stormwater collection systems, or related field preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL within one (1) year of hire.
