JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, the Pool Manager is responsible for the supervision of seasonal aquatic management staff and the enforcement of all rules and regulations. This position plans, organizes, schedules and directs the activities of all personnel, develops and conducts in-service training and administrative matters, supervises the collection and deposits of all monies, and ensures the accuracy of all daily reports.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Excellent leadership, organizational and communicative skills, both oral and written.-
Thorough knowledge of the pool's safety rules. -
Thorough knowledge of the mechanical operation of all equipment used at the pool. -
Ability to establish emergency standard operating of all equipment used at the pool. -
Ability to work long hours during the summer months. -
Ability to maintain routine records and prepare routing reports. -
Ability to maintain an effective and pleasant working relationship with citizens, the general public, employees, and volunteers. -
Ability to operate a computer, POS (Point of Sale), RecTrac, printer, copy machine, telephones, pool equipment, pool chemicals, etc. -
Must have the ability to work various hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as required. -
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred plus two (2) years of experience in water activities is required. Three (3) years of experience in water activities functioning as either coach, teacher, or lifeguard preferred. Must possess an American Red Cross Shallow Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and Food Handler’s Certificate. Current LGI certification is preferred, or must have the ability to obtain one before season opening. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s license with a good driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
To perform the essential functions of the job, must be able to perform strenuous physical activities to include, running, kneeling, bending, twisting, dragging, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. of various recreational and athletic equipment; to talk, see, hear, and read, and to work in adverse environmental conditions.
