The City of Cozad, Nebraska is seeking qualified candidates for the position of City Administrator.
Cozad is a community of 4,000 citizens located in South Central Nebraska along Interstate 80, Highway 30, and the Union Pacific Railroad. The community is governed by the mayor and four council members.
Cozad is an LB840 community with one half cent of sales tax devoted to economic development. The community enjoys a very involved economic development committee; Cozad Development Corporation, that spearheads its industry recruitment and retainage. Cozad currently boasts a robust industry base made up of new entrepreneurs and multigenerational businesses. Cozad enjoys an excellent school system, community hospital and the Cozad Community Wellness Center.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in public/business administration or related field and a minimum of four years’ experience as an Assistant City Manager or City Manager in a comparable or larger sized city.
Salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 based on qualifications and experience. An outstanding benefits package is also included. A detailed position description is available on the City of Cozad website, www.cozadne.net.
