As An Analyst II, You Will
- Perform all functions of grant management for externally funded grant awards
- Support the pre-award function and application development
- Facilitate the acceptance of grant awards
- Prepare, analyze, and/or audit financial records and documents
- Maintain and update data in PeopleSoft Grants and other related modules
- Monitor grant revenues and expenditures; ensure transactions are properly recorded in the City’s financial accounting system
- Research and analyze data for accuracy, trends, and variances to ensure City practices and procedures have been followed; ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, or annual grant reports and/or requests for reimbursements
- Analyze grant budgets; set up appropriate line items for compatibility with accounting systems; and analyze and maximize the utilization of grant funds
- Assist with other grant related projects as needed
- Knowledge of the methods and techniques of data collection, research, and report preparation
- Knowledge of principles and practices of grants administration
- Knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and interpret complex information and data
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a related area of study.
- Three years of full-time, professional experience in a related field.
