The City of Clinton is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of FULLTIME PARKS MAINTENANCE TECH. Under limited supervision, supervises the maintenance of a particular facility to verify that they adhere to legal requirements and that all parts of the facility are kept clean and ready for use. Oversee operations in a space to make sure they follow any internal or external guidelines, perform maintenance on buildings and structures in a facility. This position may be subject to after-hours standby, on–call, and emergency call-back work. This position is fulltime and reports to the Parks and Recreation Division Manager or his designee.
Requirements: Requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have proof of a 4-year High School Diploma or acceptable GED (online GED's generally not acceptable). (2) Position requires a valid drivers’ License and a good driving record. (3) Position requires, but is not limited to, extensive and frequent strenuous physical labor, walking, stooping, bending, and frequently lifting weights up to 50 lbs. (4) Six months of work experience. (5) Work is predominately outside in a variety of climatological conditions year round. (6) Successful passing of a pre-employment physical and drug screening is required. (7) Position is subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing under City guidelines. Salary Range: $16.00 per hour (Grade 12) DOQ/DOE
