What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cain Park Assistant to the General Manager position at City of Cleveland Heights?
Directly responsible to the General Manager, you are a part of the upper management team.
Assist the General Manager and Facilities Coordinator/Stage Production Specialist with the general starting up of the Park.
Serve as primary contact point for Arts Festival Artist Applicants.
Coordinate Arts Festival Food Vendors, Marketing, and Arts Festival Director Needs.
Assist with the necessary HR paperwork for employees and independent contractors. Including but not limited to payroll, contracts, and emergency contact forms. Ensure all paperwork is complete and kept in a secure orderly manner.
Assist the General Manager in processing Equity contracts, health forms, Equity payroll, run crew and orchestra contracts, and individual time sheets and invoices for extra labor.
Process check requests and payroll in a timely manner in conjunction with the General Manager.
Run reports to provide updates on the Cain Park annual approved budget as requested to key staff.
Create spreadsheets for revenue accounting, payroll and other information as requested by the General Manager.
Attend weekly staff meetings, production meetings, and any other meetings as required by the General Manager.
Take minutes at weekly staff meetings and any other meetings as required by the General Manager and ensure proper posting/distribution of same.
Count in and maintain all things related to petty cash including reconciliation of receipts, reimbursements and change keeping in constant communication with General Manager on change needed.
Prepare and deliver deposits to the Finance Department.
Work with other City employees for any additional Arts Festival or Park production needs.
Assist General Manager, and Concessions Manager with operation and staffing of concession stands for events.
Support curators in cultivating installations of art gallery offerings.
Work with the General Manager on purchases for the park.
Maintain high safety levels at all times.
Uphold the policies, rules of the City of Cleveland Heights.
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the General Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years’ experience in the performing arts industry; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
