What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cain Park Assistant Production Manager position at City of Cleveland Heights?

- Directly responsible to the Production Managers, Operations Manager and General Manager.
- Assist the Theater Production Manager with any Theater preparation duties, including, but not limited to ordering equipment, supplies or props, hiring run crew, scheduling and/or attending rehearsals, etc.
- Assist the Events Production Manager with all pre-performance and performance elements for Cain Park events.
- Assist with the initial Evans Amphitheater set-up and all events load-ins and strikes.
- Assist the General Manager, Operation Manager and Events Production Manager with the general opening of the Park.
- Assist the Production Managers with inventorying, maintaining and/or coordinating the use of all Park events equipment, including all technical equipment, artist support and Evans Amphitheater masking.
- Assist the Events Production Manager with supervising the use, handling and security of any technical equipment, regardless of Park or artist ownership.
- As early as possible, in conjunction with the Events Production Manager, contact Artist(s) and/or their Road or Tour Managers to fill in all necessary needs and details for each event scheduled at Cain Park for the summer. Keep detailed notes and/or forms of all such contacts and the needs of the Artist(s) as they are described to you.
- Provide maps, directions and informational tech riders to any artist(s) requiring them.
- Assist the Events Production Manager and General Manager with artist travel and hospitality needs, including hotel and airport transportation.
- In conjunction with the Events Production Manager and/or the General Manager, reserve and verify drop-off and pick-up dates for rental pianos.
- In conjunction with Production Managers, schedule all necessary piano tunings for all rehearsals and performances.
- Assist the Production Managers with maintaining the Evans Amphitheater stage designs, repertory light plot and other paperwork.
- Stay within the Events budget and compromise when necessary.
- Assist the Production Managers with ordering all necessary production materials, supplies, and rentals and coordinate their proper delivery and subsequent return or storage needs.
- Assist the Production Managers in coordinating any set or riser needs for Events.
- Attend, or schedule appropriate staff to attend, all technical and dress rehearsals for Events and Theater productions in conjunction with the Events Production Manager
- Assist the Production Managers with supervising the proper training of any Park personnel required to operate any Events equipment unfamiliar to them.
- Work with the Operations Manager, Events Production Manager, General Manager, Theater Production Manager and House Manager(s), towards the coordination of artists' needs, backstage security and vehicle access.
- Assist the Production Managers to coordinate the development of all Cain Park events practicals, scenic or electric, and/or special effects, including their operating costs and operational safety requirements.
- High school graduate, some college experience preferred
- Techinical knowledge of sound and lighting equipment required
- Previous management experience a plus
- Positive, helpful attitude and calm demeanor, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately
