Recreation Center - Sports/Recreation Program Staff & Fitness Instructors - Fall & Winter 2026/2027

The Cedar Falls Recreation Division is hiring individuals for the 2026/2027 fall & winter season for Program Supervisors, Volleyball and Basketball Coaches, Flag Football Officials, and Fitness Instructors.

Seeking energetic, positive, and professional staff with the desire and ability to work with individuals of all ages, especially young people, for Program Supervisors, Volleyball and Basketball Coaches, Flag Football Officials. Basic playing experience is necessary to qualify for Officials and Coaching positions. The hourly wage will range from $13.00-17.00 based on position, combination of positions, qualifications, and experience. Weekday and evening hours are available.

Also seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals as Fitness Instructors for varying age and fitness levels for a variety of group exercise classes including yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, barre, kickboxing, strength training, aerobics, Tai Chi, dance fitness, and Zumba. Related experience, certifications, and/or education are preferred. The hourly wage will range from $17.00–$25.00 depending on experience, related certifications, education, and class format.

Upon a conditional offer of employment, successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment background will be required for all positions. A drug screen will be required for all non-volunteer/paid positions.
