Junior Building Custodian

Available shift: Night shift / 2:00pm - 11:00pm Salary: \$51,048.92 -

\$62,808.20 / Annually Step Salary System to be awarded annually on the

anniversary date of hire and would typically start at Step 1. Please

note the salary range indicated is firm. Supervision received: Works

under the direct supervision of the Building Department Commissioner,

requiring the ability to follow an established schedule and complete

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs a

variety of custodial duties, including vacuuming, sweeping and washing

floors and dusting; empties wastebaskets Picks up trash; cleans and

stocks restrooms; repairs toilets; replaces light bulbs Monitors the

security of buildings sets up meeting rooms for programs, moves

furniture, tables and chairs, books, supplies, computers and video

equipment. Performs snow and ice removal and sands and salts walks and

parking lots; mows lawn, trims bushes and rakes leaves. Operates

standard cleaning and maintenance equipment, hand tools, and equipment

such as floor buffers and floor washers. Maintains and makes minor

repairs to building and equipment, plumbing, lighting and heating,

ventilation and air conditioning systems. Requirements: Minimum

Qualifications: Education and Experience: High school diploma or

equivalent; experience in custodial and maintenance work; or an

Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience. Additional
