Under supervision of the Pool Manager, you'll provide top-notch customer service to our pool guests, answer questions about hours and events, assist with admissions and concession stand operations, swim schedules, processing payments, maintain accurate records, and support daily operations to ensure everyone has an amazing time at our pool facility.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about pool rules, programs, schedules and special events.
- Handle admissions and membership check-ins accurately, ensure proper verification of passes, facility reservations or rentals, and provide access control.
- Operate recreation program software to create customer accounts, enroll participants in programs, process payments, sell concessions, season passes, or reservation/rental items.
- Assist with the operation of the concession stand, including selling snacks, beverages, and merchandise, while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Maintain cash register and point of sale screens.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, sales, and participant enrollment.
- Enforce facility policies and safety rules, assisting lifeguards and staff with crowd management as needed.
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns and complaints in a courteous and timely manner, resolve conflicts, and provide positive interactions with all pool facility guests.
- Monitor inventory levels for concessions, season passes, and rental items, and assist with restocking as needed.
- Perform opening and closing duties for the facility and concession stand, including cash handling and reconciliation.
- Support daily facility and pool operations, cleaning buildings and restrooms, assisting staff with setup, cleanup, and general maintenance tasks.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Assist with special programs, events, or activities hosted at the pool facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Special requirements:
- Must be available to work holidays, weekends, or after hours for special events, or meetings as required.
- Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned work hours is essential. Time scheduled off should be managed so as to not interfere with the ability to accomplish tasks, including special projects and assignments.
- Dependable transportation to ensure the ability to meet assigned work schedule.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.
Age Requirement:
- Must be at least 16 years of age by start date.
Education, Training and Experience:
- Experience working directly with the public preferred.
- Previous customer service or recreation experience preferred.
License and Certificates:
- CPR/First Aid certification required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
- Ability to learn recreation software and point of sale.
- Ability to follow safety and facility procedures and rules.
- Ability to handle requests, inquiries and complaints in a helpful and positive manner.
- Attention to details and ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced public environment.
- Ability to perform as a member of a team, supporting co-workers.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Physical Demands and Working Environment:
- Tasks include standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, bending, light lifting (5-20 pounds), or other physical activities.
- Some tasks involve some physical effort, i.e., standing and walking, or frequent moderate lifting (20-50 pounds), minimal dexterity in the use of fingers, limbs, or body in the operation of office equipment.
- Work outdoors and under a variety of weather conditions, including heat.
- Work irregular hours, weekends and holidays.
Sensory Requirements:
- Some tasks may require sound perception and discrimination.
- Some tasks may require visual perception and discrimination.
- Some tasks may require oral communications ability.
