The City of Attleboro seeks a part time Building Custodian /Laborer for the Council on Aging to perform custodial and minor repair tasks in maintaining department buildings and surrounding grounds in a clean orderly fashion.
Duties include miscellaneous custodial duties such as sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes, buffs floors, and removes trash. Cleans, washes windows, woodwork, walls, wainscoting, lavatories, drinking faucets, toilet facilities, parking lot, and dust in common areas. Checks and restocks bathroom supplies. Makes minor and emergency repairs. Assists in setting up furniture and equipment in rooms for various meetings and entertainment. Heavy lifting may be required. Removes snow from sidewalk and other areas. Performs other duties as required.
Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and two years in property maintenance and janitorial work or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Valid driver’s license required.
