What You'll Do
- Investigate claims by gathering evidence, conducting site visits, and interviewing involved parties.
- Evaluate liability, damages, coverage, and applicable laws to adjust claims and make sound recommendations.
- Prepare clear reports and assist in negotiating fair settlements.
- Coordinate with relevant City departments, claimants, and others to ensure compliance and resolution of claims.
- Work schedule may be adjusted to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be physically able to efficiently and effectively perform investigative work that requires moderate to arduous physical exertion, including but not limited to, the ability to:
- Ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs
- Move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces to access and investigation site
- Traverse regular and steep terrain
- Bend, crawl on hands and knees, and/or reach and lift to perform inspections
- Lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds
- Use of personal vehicle is required to drive to various locations for investigations, site visits, etc.

- Ability to read and evaluate medical reports relating to claims for injury.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in analyzing and evaluating a wide variety of claim data to identify issues and make recommendations for the adjustment of claims.
