Case Manager Supervisor

Supervises team members who may interview and determine eligibility for all assistance programs such as Financial Programs, Medicaid Programs, and Food benefits for initial and ongoing applicants/participants or who may provide direct customer service, administrative, or support functions to various internal and/or external customers. This position will direct, plan, motivate, and organize all team members to correctly apply the county, state, and federal rules, regulations, and procedures. Monitors caseloads and team performances, perform research, and oversees accurate and timely processing of program benefits and rules and regulations. Provides professional support, supervises workflow for program area staff, and coordinates special projects.

Salary Range: $42.91 - $52.45/hour

• Organizes and schedules the workflow and staffing for a unit of Eligibility Case Managers, which may include Administrative positions. 
• Supervises staff in area of responsibility. Administers and makes recommendations for routine personnel matters affecting subordinates, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, scheduling, granting leave, appraisals, and taking corrective actions. 
• Assists and advises subordinates as necessary, resolves problems as non-routine situations arise, and ensures adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards. Communicates changes in policy and procedures to direct reports and implements them as directed. 
• Ensure the design and implementation of program procedures meet or exceed Federal and State guidelines, eligibility, fiscal, records management, performance, and customer service goals and standards. Audit processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and consult with staff and management for implementation. Complete Quality Assurance case reviews
• Work with Program/Department Manager to develop priorities around strategic planning for the unit. Ensure alignment, consistency and coordination with our teams within Human Services. 

Education

• High School Diploma/GED - required 
• Associate’s Degree or 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university - preferred

Experience

• 3 years experience in public assistance program eligibility (Adult Assistance, Self-Sufficiency, TANF, Colorado Works, or Food Stamps). 
• Colorado Benefits Management System experience - required.
• Supervisory experience - preferred.

OR

Years of related experience may be substituted for required education, however education cannot be substituted for the necessary work experience. Candidates must meet the minimum required years of work experience

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record for continued employment. Applicants must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: oral board, reference checks, driving record through DMV, background checks including police check, child abuse, child support payment and sex-offender registry checks. Incumbents assigned to Child Support/ACSES must pass suitability requirements and submit to updated background checks/fingerprint checks in order to meet the Colorado Division of Child Support Services requirements.
