Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with professionalism, providing excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Prepare and update medical records, ensuring accurate documentation review and proper filing in compliance with HIPAA policies.
- Support clinical staff by managing care plans documentation and facilitating communication between departments.
- Maintain office supplies, organize files, perform data entry tasks such as 10-key typing, and ensure the office environment is clean and efficient.
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare administrative support within clinics or dental offices.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies aligned with HIPAA standards.
- Excellent patient service skills complemented by effective phone communication and phone etiquette.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Prior clinic experience combined with clerical experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills for filing, and managing electronic health records (EHR).
