The Contingent Workforce Program Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization’s contingent workforce program. This role oversees the Managed Service Provider (MSP), and is responsible for day-to-day program delivery, ensuring high-quality service, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Program Manager acts as a key consultant to internal stakeholders, builds strong partnerships across all levels, and maintains a credible, positive presence for the program management office.

The Contingent Workforce Program Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization’s contingent workforce program. This role oversees the Managed Service Provider (MSP), and is responsible for day-to-day program delivery, ensuring high-quality service, compliance, and continuous improvement. The Program Manager acts as a key consultant to internal stakeholders, builds strong partnerships across all levels, and maintains a credible, positive presence for the program management office.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Lead and manage all aspects of the contingent workforce program, including oversight of the MSP and its delivery team.
- Maintain a professional, ethical, and efficient service environment; drive continuous improvement and open communication.
- Demonstrate mastery of strategic operational functions: staffing, sourcing, compliance, supplier management, VMS, invoicing, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain SOPs to ensure cross-training and operational consistency.
- Stay current on best practices and market trends in workforce and services procurement.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, partnering with Strategic Sourcing and business stakeholders.
- Track service levels, analyze program metrics, and initiate process improvements.
- Perform project management duties for small to midsize operations-based projects.
- Advise on operational reporting and metrics.
- Experience in direct staff management
- Deep industry knowledge of contingent workforce management
- Conceptual knowledge of project/program management methodologies
- Experience using Fieldglass and Ariba strongly preferred
- Knowledge and experience in MSP solutions preferred (for SOW)
- Lead and motivate teams with integrity and accountability
- Communicate clearly and influence stakeholders at all levels
