Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team to help our community in Three Rivers resolve issues related to homelessness and housing. This is a new role within our service and will form a job share. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- Minimum of two years’ experience of advice delivery to Citizens Advice certification.
- An ability to demonstrate a level of commitment to training, identify own training needs and participate in continued personal development opportunities.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines using own initiative.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a range of people and organisations.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to carry out efficient client interviews and at times to undertake benefit calculations.
- Ability to use IT systems, packages and resources in the provision of advice, record keeping and document production.
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team and work without close supervision.
- Ability and willingness to follow agreed procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Ability to work in a sensitive and enabling way with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Understanding of, and commitment to, the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service and our organisational values.
