experienced Dispatcher position for a logistics and regional freight trucking company headquartered at Gardena, California. They specialize in drayage, expedited shipping, and the transport of containerized and oversized freight across California and the broader western United States.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team in Gardena, CA. The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating drivers, scheduling deliveries and pickups, monitoring freight movement, and ensuring timely communication with customers and drivers. This position plays a critical role in support ng daily transportation operations involving drayage, expedited shipping, and containerized freight throughout California and the western United States.

Key Responsibilities:

•        Coordinate and dispatch drivers for pickups, deliveries, and port appointments

•         Monitor driver routes and shipment status to ensure on-time service

•         Communicate with drivers, customers, warehouses, and port terminals regarding schedules and updates

•        Schedule appointments and manage freight movement efficiently

•         Track containers, shipments, and delivery documentation

•         Address and resolve transportation issues, delays, or service concerns in a timely manner

•         Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and shipment details

•         Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company policies

•         Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients and internal teams

Qualifications:

•         Previous dispatching experience in transportation, logistics, or trucking preferred

•         Experience with drayage or port operations is a plus

•         Strong communication and organizational skills

•        Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

•         Proficient with Microsoft Office and transportation management systems

•         Knowledge of Southern California ports and regional routes preferred

•         Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 10 am to 7 pm. Skills: Bilingual (English/Spa nish) a m ust

Compensation:  $22 - $28/hr.
