Responsibilities:
- Assist owners with questions related to their payments, statements, and revenue related inquires as needed. Assist with Difficult DOI maintenance as assigned. Complex escheat filings and reconciliations and aiding other accountants with more complex Escheat reports.
- Aid Lead Accountant and Manager in training more junior staff members
- Works with Manager and Lead Accountants on complex tasks and projects. May function as a project leader on small to medium-sized projects.
- Is sought out by staff members as one who possesses superior knowledge and understanding.
- Focuses a significant portion of efforts on analysis and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- 3 years' experience and proficient working knowledge of Excalibur or similar oil and gas accounting software required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assignments with a moderate degree of complexity.
- Duties are similar to the Accountant I level but typically are more complex.
Education:
- 4-year undergraduate degree (Accounting/Finance) with 3-4 years of oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent experience, or high school diploma or GED with 7-8 years of oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent experience.
