Key ResponsibilitiesFabrication & Assembly
- Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal components and structures according to drawings, specifications, and work orders.
- Cut, drill, grind, shape, and prepare materials for fabrication and assembly.
- Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, ironworkers, and other shop tools.
- Perform fitting and assembly of gates, bollards, operator mounts, equipment pedestals, fencing components, and custom fabricated products.
- Prepare materials and assemblies for welding, painting, galvanizing, or installation.
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, fabrication details, and project specifications.
- Verify dimensions and material requirements prior to fabrication.
- Ensure fabricated products meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Inspect fabricated components for accuracy, fit, finish, and structural integrity.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Identify and correct fabrication issues before products are released for installation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Properly store and handle materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and material tracking.
- Load and unload materials and fabricated products as needed.
- Work closely with project managers, installers, welders, and field technicians to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Assist with special projects and custom fabrication requests.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of fabrication experience in a manufacturing, construction, or metal fabrication environment.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience fabricating gates, fencing, access control infrastructure, or commercial security products.
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick).
- Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
- Experience working with structural steel and aluminum.
- Construction or low-voltage industry experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work in a fabrication shop environment for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to safely operate shop tools and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when necessary.
Salary : $23 - $25
