Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer who will own the manufacturing processes for sub-assemblies and finished products within a defined production area. This role focuses on driving performance across safety, cost, quality, and delivery while improving processes, launching new equipment, and solving root causes with structured methodologies.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in an automated or semi-automated environment and enjoys hands-on problem solving, cross functional collaboration, and building best in class manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review safety, quality, maintenance, and operational reports to identify improvement opportunities
- Evaluate equipment performance and drive productivity, efficiency, cost, and safety improvements
- Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams and PFMEA documentation
- Create, update, and standardize manufacturing documentation such as work instructions and training guides
- Define standard work within your area of responsibility
- Implement lean practices including 5S, Kanban, poke yoke, single piece flow, and visual management
- Utilize structured problem solving methods such as A3, 5Y, 8D, Ishikawa, PDCA, DMAIC, or Shainin
- Participate in and support cross functional teams across manufacturing
- Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, VDA, and other applicable standards
- Develop and maintain parameters and recipes for new and existing products and processes
- Analyze variability and implement capability improvements
- Launch new equipment and ensure smooth integration into production
- Program and troubleshoot CNC machines as needed
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering
- Three to five years of experience in an automated or semi-automated manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and CNC processes
- Understanding of materials and manufacturing methods
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
