Cimarron is seeking a Software Engineer to support the PAC-3 program in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will adapt and enhance the GENSS radar simulation software to support PAC-3 Legacy functionality. This effort involves implementing updates based on an internal technical whitepaper and modifying existing C simulation interfaces to meet program objectives. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a critical missile defense capability and collaborate closely with aviation and missile system experts.
Key Duties:
- Modify and update GENSS software to enable PAC-3 Legacy use as outlined in the program’s technical whitepaper.
- Implement required changes to the C simulation interface within GENSS.
- Integrate updates into the existing physics-based radar simulation model.
- Collaborate with technical stakeholders to confirm interpretation and implementation of required Legacy functionality.
- Ensure delivered GENSS software meets all prescribed accomplishment criteria and behaves as expected within the PAC-3 Legacy environment.
- Prepare and deliver updated GENSS simulation software consistent with all program requirements.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance in a reasonable timeframe.
- 1 or more years of related experience.
- Experience developing and modifying software in C .
- Experience working with simulation models or physics-based modeling environments.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and translate requirements into software updates.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- Experience supporting missile defense, radar systems, or similar DoD programs.
- Familiarity with GENSS, PAC-3, or related simulation tools.
- Experience working with Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) software environments.
